April showers bring…destroyed awnings! Trust me I am speaking from experience that when that wind picks up and your awning is not stowed away. There is not much that can be done expect to watch in horror. In our case it was not the awning but it was the slide topper that fell victim to extreme gust of winds. Installing the new fabric from Tough Top Awnings

Once the order was placed it was only a few short days before the fabric was at my door step. First thing I noticed was the difference of quality with the tough top awning materials. It has to be twice as thick as the stuff I took off. Holding it up to the sunlight there was no light shinning through and everything was stitched and cut perfectly.

With the help of my brother in law, it took less than an hour to replace this slide topper. No issue at all. The biggest part of the job is taking the time to slide the new awning in the roller, going slow and making sure that nothing gets snagged. If you are in need of a awning or slide topper.
