Guadalupe Mountains National Park: Hiking Trails for All Ages
Guadalupe Mountains National Park Our last stop in Texas during our 2024 Summer of Sunscreen…
If you are looking for the perfect campsite for visiting Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas you will need to give the Hot Springs National Park KOA Holiday a look. This campsite is located perfectly for visiting the National Park. Right off the highway and only about 5 minutes from the entrance to the park this KOA has everything you are looking for!
This KOA is located in the Ouachita Mountains and features a fishing pond, a pool that is open from 5/1-10/2, and Wi-Fi. The sites are clean and spacious, built right into the hills. Your kids will love riding their bikes down the hills on the paved roads, coming back up is of course not so much fun, especially for dad since I had to go down and get the scooter my kid abandoned. There are also nice hiking trails located right in the Hot Springs National Park KOA Holiday. The trails wrap around the pond, snake through the hills, and actually are really secluded and peaceful.
You will enjoy 30-amp and 50-amp electric hookups, water, sewer, and cable TV. The sites can accommodate up to an 80’ unit. The playground at this campsite is also very enjoyable. It is secluded, down in a valley allowing the kids to be able to make plenty of noise and have as much fun as they can handle without bothering anybody. It is a nice touch that I really enjoy, having 2 boys that like to be very loud when playing. Next to this playground is a fenced in K9 park for the fur babies to enjoy as well. Also, without fear of bothering the neighbors.
The staff at Hot Springs National Park KOA Holiday have earned a special mention in my opinion. When we visited the Hot Spring National Park it was before we owned the Jeep. So, we were pulling a tow dolly with a Nissan Rogue attached to it. This was the first time and only time that we used a tow dolly.
Once we got to our campsite I needed to unhook the car and dolly, push into my site and back over the top of the dolly. I thought this was going to be easier than what it actually was. The car had shifted causing excessive pressure on the straps and safety chains, making it extremely difficult to unhook.
A staff member came out and helped me to get the car off the dolly and even helped me push the dolly in my spot. He then spotted me as I backed up making sure I was in my spot and did not damage the dolly. I can not thank him enough for going above and beyond helping me with my mistake. Making it as stress free as it possibly could be.
Only being 3.6 miles from the National Park and Famous Bathhouse Row. There are not many other campsites that offer such a great location with the amenities that Hot Springs National Park KOA Holiday Offers. In my opinion, being a KOA, the cleanliness of the campsite and the friendliness of the staff just simply set it apart from the others. This is a perfect weekend getaway that you will be happy you chose to enjoy.
