Great Little KOA Ozark Alabama
On our way home from our vacation in Cape Canaveral Florida, we decided to take a different route. we did not want to deal with Atlanta traffic. We decided to run around the panhandle and go North through Alabama. Stopping in Ozark for the night. I wanted to write about this KOA Ozark Alabama because it was a very pleasant experience. I wanted to share it.
When we pulled into the KOA Ozark Alabama you could tell that it was very clean and well kept. Walking into the building you see a nice supply shopping area as well as a large sitting area.
Speaking with the lady at the front desk brought up many good conversations that was a breath of fresh air. You could tell she was running this KOA because she loves the lifestyle. Not for profit or to be her own boss. She does it because she enjoys the camping lifestyle and wants to share that with others. We spoke in length about our trip. Spoke about buying a new motorhome. She shared her views on what to buy and what to stay away from. After she took us to our spot we had a more in-depth conversation about the rig that was sitting next to us. That was estimated at a price point that is more than my entire life’s is worth.
The KOA Ozark Alabama offers full hookups including water, sewer, 20 amp, 30 amp, and 50 amp service. They also offer water, cable tv, and can have a 70’ max length. Make sure when you come and visit this campsite that you bring a water pressure regulator. The water pressure here is very high. I am very thankful that the camp host informed us of this when we checked in. Luckily, I always carry my water pressure regulator in the camper. Even though I rarely use it unless the pressure is obviously higher than I am comfortable with.
The site was large and spacious, giving us a nice level concrete pad to park on. There was a picnic table for our outdoor dining enjoyment. There is a beautiful community fire pit for everyone to get together, share stories, and make new friends. We took the kids to the playground. They really appreciated that there were playground toys there for the young travelers to enjoy.
After an hour or so on the monkey bars, swinging, and sliding. We moved to the large pool that they have on site. It was super clean with very nice patio furniture for your relaxing pleasures. I noticed that they had a pet walking trail for your fur baby to enjoy. We have stayed at many KOA. I must say that the host at this one was the friendliest host that we have come across.
I feel that it is also worth noting that the other campers were also incredibly nice. We wanted to stay here a few more nights to really enjoy the whole southern hospitality I was experiencing. Unfortunately, that was not an option. As we had run out of vacation days and it was time to get back to the real world.
Sitting at this campsite, staring at the travel map we have on the side of the camper. I started to think about my future, what I really want to do in life. This campsite is where I realized that I wanted to share our experiences.
I want to write children’s books tailored around our travel to National Parks and enjoying this world. I want to write blogs to help others that are traveling with a family. Not sure if they can get out there and enjoy nature. I want to share my life with others that cannot get out and enjoy. With our family that would love to be there with us, and with our boys in the future. So they can look back and remember everything we done together.
We am happy to share my love for my family and my God. We hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy sharing.
